In our language art class, we got to read a book called, "The Giver" which was written by Lois Lowry. I really like this author, Lois Lowry had written Number of Stars which I had read it before in elementary school and I really like that book. Now we had read The Giver to chapter 11-12 and it was already really good and this book is kind of easy to understand and in this book it has some new vocabularies that I haven't learn it before. While we were reading The Giver, we had done annotation, imagery, and we had done many things about Theme. In each chapter, they have their own theme in it. Some theme from the book that I had found out was to overcome your own mistakes and learn from it. The weakness that I mostly have while I was reading was to find out what the theme is. A theme is my hardest part to know. In this book, The Giver...it's mostly about the main character Jonas who had been given to be a receiver of memory. In this book, it had so many things happening which it kept me reading, again and again, every time which I can start to remember it now.
