Overall since the start of this unit I had learned about 7 new enlightenment thinkers which were John Locke, Thomas Hobbes, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Baron de Montesquieu, Voltaire, Denis Diderot, Mary Wollstonecraft. I had learned about each thinkers’ main idea. I had learned that all of the thinkers have many difference perspective or they have many different ideas, they had a different believes too.  I have learned that Mary Wollstonecraft was the only woman in this chart and she mostly talked about the equal for rights for women. I had also learned many different things about Thomas Hobbes, I had learned that Thomas Hobbes was from England and he was the one who believe that people were bad, evil, and selfish. He also believed that people should be governed under a strict government too. Thomas Hobbs was the first enlightenment thinker that I had learned about. The next enlightenment thinkers that I had learned about was John Locke. I had learned John Locke mostly laid more of the groundwork for the enlightenment and he had also made central contribution to the development of liberalism too. After I had learned about John Locke, I had continued learning about Jean Jacques Rousseau. I had learned that he believed that people on earth are born weak and he believed that we need strenth. He also believed that children' eeducation should be focus on his or her interesta nd women need to learn more than simply domestic chores too. I had also learned that Baron de Montesquiu was mostly put his ideas on the seperation of powers which had also became the basis for the United States Constitution too. I had learned one more new thing about him which was that Baron de Montesquiu had written a book called, "The Spirit of laws" too. I had also learned about Voltaire and Denis Diderot too. I had just learned about them in about 1-5 days ago....I had learned Voltaire main idea is that he didn't believe in any religion but he mostly believed and interested in the natural laws that were underlying in all religions more. I had also learned that both Voltaire and Denis Diderot was bron in France and Denis Diderot is a believer in materialism which I just know about it. One important thing that I had learned from all of this 7 enlightenment thinkers were that all of these people had meet or sometimes had read each other work before too.

Below here is the chart if 7 enlightenment thinkerse which I had put the information in here by myself.

Language Art Reflection

In this week in language art class, we had read the giver to chapter 14 already. We had learned many new vocabularies through Quizlet. Ms. Maria had let us do our own quizlet to study vocabularies from chapter 14 to chapter 18. Overall there were 22 or 28 words that we had to learn. In this week we had also learned about memory too! We learned about memories because, in the book the main character, Jonas was a receiver which meant he had to receive all of the memories from the giver which Jonas had to go through different pain.

Reflection Women's rights presentation

23/11/17

Image result for women rightsToday people in SS class had done about 4 presentations about women's rights in different countries. Today the countries they had talked about were Southeast Asia, Europe, America, and one more country. I had learned that in each country had many things going on like sexual harassment or hurting women which it isn't illegal in some country. When I knew about these things it made me really shocked to hear about this stuff because I haven't known it before that these things are happening in the country.

24/11/17
Image result for women rightsToday we had continued with the presentation about women's rights. Today I was really surprised about the women's right in Pakistan and many countries in the South Africa. They had said that women in Pakistan or some country which I can't remember but they said that women in that country cannot have the passport, can't swim, can't go out to a supermarket if they don't get permission, and they can't go meet with other men. In this group, they had also said that if some women don't ha a father or a husband...they still need to ask their son to get the permission. 1I was really shocked at what I had just heard. In each country, women had been treated in many different ways. Some were good and some were bad.

Reflection - The Giver

Reflection ----- The Giver
Image result for the giver
In our language art class, we got to read a book called, "The Giver" which was written by Lois Lowry. I really like this author, Lois Lowry had written Number of Stars which I had read it before in elementary school and I really like that book. Now we had read The Giver to chapter 11-12 and it was already really good and this book is kind of easy to understand and in this book it has some new vocabularies that I haven't learn it before. While we were reading The Giver, we had done annotation, imagery, and we had done many things about Theme. In each chapter, they have their own theme in it. Some theme from the book that I had found out was to overcome your own mistakes and learn from it. The weakness that I mostly have while I was reading was to find out what the theme is. A theme is my hardest part to know. In this book, The Giver...it's mostly about the main character Jonas who had been given to be a receiver of memory. In this book, it had so many things happening which it kept me reading, again and again, every time which I can start to remember it now.

I had learned many things about the Enlightenment. I had learned many things about Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, Jean Jacques Rousseau, and Baron De Montesque. These 4 philosophers were in controlled as absolute monachy. I
had learned that Thomas Hobbes believed that man is naturally evil and selfish and he also believed that man needs to be controlled. I had also learned that John Locke had made the Inalienable rights which were the 3 Liberty Life and Property. John Locke had also written different books such as the Two Treaties of Government and an Essay Concerning Human Understanding. Another philosopher that I have learned about was Jean Jacques Rousseau. I had learned that Jean Jacques Rousseau had made the social contract and he believed that man in nature is good and Society corrupts man. Another person that I had also learn about was Baron De Montesque. Baron De Montasque had made the separation of power which were President to Congress then to Supreme Court. These 4 philosophers were really important for example, John lock was really important to the enlightenment because he drew heavily on his idea and he also did the founding fathers of the American revolution.
