Explore the Kingdom Trip Reflection

Activities. roommates. bus. what thing were challenges to you. what are your top 5 memories. 

     We went to Supalai Pasak Resort from 12 December till 14 December. It was really fun to explore many different places at Saraburi. We separate in 4 group which were Red, Blue, Green, and Orange team. I'm in a red group with Mr. John, Ms. Claudia, and Ms. Emily. In each group, we all did 4 activities at different times which were Kayaking, Rock climbing, Caving, and Hiking. In my group we did Kayaking first, it was really fun to kayak about 1 hour or about 1 hour and a half. First, we need to walk down on a sand to a river which I was really scared because it was really steep. But then I make it to the river, my partner for kayaking is Um. This was my first time to kayak in a real river! About 15 minutes at first I couldn't really paddle that good, but then after that, I could paddle correctly and I stay as the second boat behind a staff boat. While we were kayaking I learn many different things like about Ralph (I don't know how to spell) that when we feel like a boat going to sink down, we can make a ralph by stick together as three boats and put a paddle on these 3 boats. Along the path, I met new people who were fishing on the side of a river and I saw a beautiful view of nature that I haven't seen it before. When we finish kayaking, we need to walk down on a big place of mud which really sticky. All the mud stick to my feet which make get dirty a little bit. But it still enjoyable to kayaking.   In my group, our second activity is Hiking. We get really tired because the place where we walked, it really steep and we need to walk up. First, before we walked into a forest... we met with 2 dogs which really cute and they were both walked into a forest with us too. But these 2 dogs always made me scared of it because of it like to run behind us. We have 2 guides which were a woman and a man, they were really nice. At the first time when we entered a forest, we walked to a waterfall first which really nice. The second time we walked back and we started to walk at the tiring place ever on earth because of it really steep and we need to walk up about 2-3 kilometers which were really tired. But at the end, a man who was our guide told me that I was really good at walking because at the end I walk up at the first girl but behind Focus, Ryu F., and Top. It really fun and it was another way to exercise too! :))) Thirdly, our third activity was Caving or cave exploring. But the first group which is the green group get to go in a cave about 2 hours but for us, we went in just only 5-10 minutes. The first group gets to go 2 hours because inside there they were the first group and they didn't know that there were a snake in there. So, when the teachers know.....they just change place to go for cave exploring. The fourth activity for my group was Rock climbing which was really hard because we need to find our own way to go up and touch the chain. After we reach the chain we got some lollipops which were really delicious. 555.

This is my poetry portfolio that had three poems in it which were Frustrated, Where I'm From, and Turning Thirteen. 

1) What is your favorite poem - why? 
My favorite poem is Where I'm From because I get to use many different figurative language in this poem and I can express my feeling and variety of ways. It is really fun to write a poem about myself. 

2) What was the most challenges part of a project - why? 
The most challenges part of this project is when I need to explain about mood and tone because mood and tone kind of like the same which make me confuse a little bit and when I explain it make me explain not really clear. 

3) If I had more time, how would you change? 
If I had more time, I would change my poem a little bit by making it rhyme in each stanza because if I make it rhyme it would sound nicer.

Water Cycle Lab Reflection:

1) What did you learn about the Hydrologic Cycle? 
Answer: I learn many different things about Hydrologic Cycle. I learn that Hydrologic Cycle had 6-7 stages which were Evaporation, Condensation, Precipitation, Surface Runoff, Groundwater Percolation, Transpiration, and Infiltration. I learn that Evaporation was when water or liquid change into a vapor. Condensation is when clouds are formed. Precipitation means when it's rain, snow, hail, fog, and etc. Surface Runoff is when water flows on the surface or a ground. Groundwater Percolation means when water goes down vertically into a soil. 

2) What did you learn about teamwork? 
Answer:  I learn about teamwork by when we did an experiment. In my group, there were Fourth, Risha, Alanah, and Maxima. I learn that we need to listen to other people ideas to come up with a good solution. 

3) What did you learn about the design process? 
Answer:  I learn that to come up with a good design process we need to have a foil or some plastic thing that cover up on top of a pot so a boiling salt water could evaporate and on top of that foil or plastic thing we need to make it cool and cold so the water could come down along a straw so it can come down into a glass. 

Math Blog Reflection

     Overall from the started of the semester until the end of this semester, I think sometimes I didn't really participate in a class that much because I didn't really answer that many questions in class. But I think I did a good job in listening and follow directions because when the teacher explained what we had to do next, I will do it immediately and I don't have to ask other people what to do. I think some of my scores are accurate and sometimes it not because sometimes like the test of Summative Part 2 7.EE I didn't work it accurate enough. I didn't work it accurate enough mean like number 11 where I answer it correct but I accidently answer it in decimals which truly, I need to answer it infractions. But some of my test like a Summative 7NS, I got an E for that because I work accurately and I recheck it before I put it in a lovely pink basket. I completing the assignments as require with date and label writing the problems down and showing all the steps. In every assignment, I always write a date and I always do what it said in the paper which is showing the steps, show all work on the lined paper, answer only on this paper, or even circle the answer. I completing all that things. Topics that I learn from the started of the semester till the end of this semester were Integers, Order of operations, Absolute Value, Problem solving using Venn Diagram, Algorithm, Inequality, and all about fractions and prime factorization. Topics I like the best were fractions and prime factorization, Integers, and order of operations. But all topics that I was the least I like were Absolute value and Problem solving using Venn Diagram. Something that challenges for me was about problem-solving and being able to explain a bob's problem because when I needed to explain what bob doesn't understand, I would answer only a part of the answer. So that's why it challenge for me. Also, something that was easy for me was Order of Operations and Prime factorization because I can do it in all steps like for Order of Operation I need to follow a PEMDAS. Three things that I could have done better was a test about Inequality because sometimes when I divide or multiply with a negative, I will always forget to switch the side of a symbol. Another thing that I could have done better were about Bob problem and Problem solving because if I think of a bob's problem slowly, I would know the answer for it and I could explain it clearly. Two things that I will improve were about being more participate in class and be able to do more of the order of operations more faster. To improve on participate in class more, I could do it by try to raise my hand up when the teacher asked questions. One thing I would totally change was I would change of reading a problem more carefully because, when I had a test which had a problem solving I would answer different questions which I always got it wrong.   



This is a Summative 7NS which I get EEEEE. But I got 2 wrong which about Additive Inverse.




This one I got an M and like what I said, I always answer the word problems wrong so I want to improve on it.

Erosion Prevention System

Questions and Answer: 

1. What conflicts did your team have? 

Answer: Some conflicts that my team has are that we choose to build like what Miumiu drew but when we did it, the prevention that we made didn't follow the diagram. So we need to think of other ways which took us a long time too. Another conflict that my team has is that when we need to make a video of interviewing people like the mayor (Miumiu), citizen (Alanah and me), and banker (Alanah). We didn't finish all of the interviewing videos because sometimes Alanah and Miumiu didn't come to school. 

2. How did you overcome those conflicts? 

Answer: So Alanah, Miumiu, and I overcome those conflicts by we just follow a little bit from the diagram but then we get some clay to prevent the water erosion. This is one way we overcome the first conflict. Then, we overcome the second conflict by using all the videos that we have taken already then just edit those videos with about 5-6 people which are banker, mayor, 2 citizens, farmer, and one more person. 

3. How did you improvise? 

Answer: We improvise by we just try our best and follow the skit that we had made in the first and second class. We also able to prevent the erosion for 5 liters of water! 

4. How can science help people with erosion and landslides? 

Answer: Science can help people with erosion and landslides by people can know many different ways to prevent the erosion like build the walls and many different things. Another way that science can help people with landslides is people can know when the landslide will happen and where should they be before the landslide going to happen.

Post Classical Era Empire Research


     My part of the presentation was to present about inventions during Medieval Empire. Some inventions during Medieval Empire was Hourglass, Crossbow, Eyeglasses, Printing Press, and etc. 

     Some similarities between my group empire to the other empires are that 
1) Between our Medieval Empire and Song Dynasty was a bit the same about inventions. Song Dynasty had many different inventions which are the same as us and they also invented the magnetic compass and used it as a key to travel and to navigate, which was the same to our dynasty.
2) Another thing is that Medieval Empire had the same type of leader which was like El Cid, and like the leader in Tang Dynasty. Gao Tsu (Li Yuan) who express the land/ make the land bigger like Robert de Bruce too.   
3) Song Dynasty and our Medieval Empire, they both have a farming and irrigation. It helps both empires to have more food.

         Some difference between my empire which was Medieval Empire to the other empires are.....
1) Medieval Empire would have inventions usually for working and fighting. For example; printing press, hourglass, eyeglasses, and mechanical clock. But if we compare it with the Islamic Caliphates, their inventions would be about Math. Arabs discovered many different basic concepts for Math during that time. So I think some difference is that Islamic Caliphates will mostly make the inventions based on Math.
2) Another thing is that Medieval Empire was like there were many countries in it. But the other Dynasty like Tang Dynasty and Song Dynasty, it was just the dynasty in one country which was China. 


       I think the difficult about this project was when I needed to find a real information about inventions during medieval times. Also, truly I needed to find information about culture developments too. But during Medieval Empire time, they didn't really do a culture developments so, I couldn't really find the information. 
  
       Something that I would do differently if I was to do this project again is that I will try more information about all of those inventions and speak more clearly and better. Another thing that I will do differently is that I will put more pictures that help other people understand my words more too. 

        The best learning I have taken away from this research experience is that I learned that during Medieval Empire they had also invented a mechanical clock too! Also, I had learned about many different leaders from Ryu too. I learned what did all of the important leaders did to the Medieval Empire and many different things which were very good to know too. I will apply this new knowledge in the future by maybe when I get older and the teacher asked about Medieval Empire. I can just use all of this information as a background knowledge.

So if we can't find some information on our computer. We can find it in a book or in our library. 

b)According to the nature of science 
We can read more about science and get more information. 

c) According to what we will learn this year 
If we can't find information on our computer, we can find it in our books. Or you want more variety of information.

Grade 7 2016-2017 Goals

 Goals:     



1) Personal Goal       My personal goal this year is, I want to dribble, pass, and shoot faster in Basketball. I will practice basketball three to four times a week and if I don't get to practice at school, I will go back home and watch a basketball player video like Stephen Curry. I will watch his video about how he dribble, pass, layup, and shoot. I will also try and practice basketball at home with my aunt too so I can learn how to defend an opposite side too.

     My math goal this year is to be able to solve the problem faster and be able to think of some easy problem in my head. I will try to work on many different problems and try to use the watch, to limit when I need to finish thinking. Sometimes I will ask my dad or my mom to give me some hard problem and I will do it in my head. Every time when I went to a supermarket with my mom, I will ask my mom to ask me how much does it cost too. This is some ways to be able to reach my goal this year. I will measure by looking at my map math test if it improves or not. I will try to measure if I solve the problems faster by try to do about 10 problems and use a watch to time it. 

3) Language Art goals

Image result for reading clipart     My goals for Language Art in this year are that I want to be able to read 8-10 books in 6 months and be able to identify several words. I will try to reach these two goals by reading more books and try to read 2 books in each month. Also, to reach another goal I will try to identify words while I reading each book too and put sticky notes on it and write the definitions. To measure this I will do it by, check my Goodreads and check my reading log every time. Also, another way to measure is to look at my map language and reading score if it improves from last year or not. 


4) Band Goals
Image result for clarinet clipart     My goals for Bands are that I want to be able to play hard songs and play higher notes on Clarinet. I will practice Clarinet 4-5 times per week. I will try to look at the fingering charts and play the scale from lower c till higher c. I will also record myself play Clarinet at home and listen to it again if I play the right notes or if I sit in the right posture. I will measure these goals by record myself playing clarinet once 2 weeks.

I couldn't reach my first go but I reach my second goal. My first go was to read 8-10 in six months but I read just only 2-3 books in six months because it's big books and some days I didn't really read it. But my second goal was to identify words while I reading each book. In each book, I'll have sticky notes at the end of each chapter, and in each sticky notes it what I think each word are and below it is the real definition of it.  So I will keep all of this goals and try to reach my first goal but, I will make a new second goal which is I want to be able to summarize a story after I finish each chapter.

I still didn't meet my first goal cause in this year I didn't learn basketball anymore. Also, the second goal which was to be able to summarize a story after I finish each chapter........I reached that goal. First I practice by each chapter but then after that, I will try to summarize a story after I finish each 4 chapter. And for the third goal, I didn't meet it yet because sometimes when I was tired from playing sports after school, I just go back home and take a shower and do homework then sleep. So overall I will try to reach my first, second, and fourth goal again. But for third goals, I will change it to be able to make a connection from a story to real life. So I'm gonna achieve this goal by when I finish each 3 chapter, I will write it in my notebook or some piece of paper about the connection from the story to my real life. And then when I finish writing I can tell my mom to read it and give me the compliment of like is it ok and what should I improve more so I can make a connection better. :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

5) Personal Goal: 
 I want to be able to sleep 8 hours. So in the next day, I can be really cheerful to school and not sleepy...............It important to me because of it also important to my learning too. If I go to school in a sleepy way, I wouldn't learn anything. I'll achieve this goal by always watch the clock and at 9:30 I should go up and sleep.

While summer time was happening, I went to Caterham School to learn summer school which was pretty fun. I went there with my sister's name Dao, and my friends' name JJ and Tida. We spent 1 month there at Caterham School to learn and do many different activities. Something that was very fun to me was when I met with new friends and played some fun activities. I felt so happy that I got to go to Caterham School where we can be spent a lot of fun with teachers and friends. Also, some challenge that I faced here at Caterham School were I needed to be able to stay here by myself with my sister and my friends and I needed to be able to learn well here in a short summer school time.

I went here on August 8, 2016, and I spent a lot of fun there with my sister and my aunt. Some challenge I faced here at Bounce Thailand were I should be able to make a flip on a trampoline and on a black bag. Another challenge that my aunt gave it to me was to be able to jump over a big pink thing with only 1 jump on each trampoline. The solutions for these 2 challenges were I did it, but for the first challenge I did a flip not really straight at the first time but then at the end I did a flip straightly! Finally, the solution for the second challenge is I be able to jump over a pink thing with only 1 jump on each trampoline! 
I felt very happy to do many different things like go to Bounce Thailand and go to Caterham School.

Life of The Children During Holocaust

All of these pictures show a life of the children during Holocaust time.

Those children had no options to choose which they want to die or not. One option was to go into a Crematorium or Killing Center to die in pain.






Many children died in many ways like 1. Some children were killed in the Killing center/Crematorium, 2. Some children were killed after birth, and etc. 


Children all felt very sad and angry because of what Germans had done to them. These children died because of nothing but because of they were JEWS! 


Overall, Holocaust meant Sacrifice in Fire which likes what they done to all Jews. These pictures down below show a life of the children during Holocaust time.

Book to Read

This summer, I really want to read about 4 books. 
The first book I want to read is Sunny Side Up, by Jennifer L. Holm and Matthew Holm. I feel like when I see the picture in front it maybe about a girl who act out like rich and stuff and she gets many problems. (maybe) 
The second book I want to read is Echo, Pam Munoz Ryan. I think Echo will be a very good book because many people have to say about this book. Ms. Erin had said about it and all my other friends. I think this book is interesting 
The third book I want to read is Star Wars: Jedi Academy: A new class, Jarrett J. Krosoczka. I think this book will be a very good book too because many people said that this movie is really good, so I think that if it makes out as a book it will be a very good book. 
The last book I want to read is American Born Chinese, Gene Luen Yang. For me, I think that this book will be a very interesting book because of the name of this story. When I saw this book name, it made me feel like, "WHAT!" This is why I think that this book is very interesting and good.

Band Concert 13/5/16

Band Concert!!!!!!
     On 13/5/16, we got to play in PAC. It was really fun to play Clarinet with other people, in this day we played Shepherd Hays, Star Wars, Concerto for two hands, and Respect. Respect is the song I really like to play. I liked how we practice over and over again to make it into a very good sound out. When I played Clarinet, I didn't cause any loud sound out of the clarinet! Before we going to play I thought that I going to make some loud sound out. But I made none of that loud sound out. I'm so happy to learn with Dr.Kim and so, I will continue to play Clarinet because I like it.

Float or Sink Experiment.

PREDICTION: 
Lightest-Heaviest:  
1. Ping Pong Ball: I think Ping Pong Ball is lightest because it is  low density and it is very light.
2. Plastic Beads: I think Plastic Beads will also float because it is low density like Ping Pong Ball and it is very light
3. Oil: I think Oil is maybe in between float and sink because it has low viscosity and that mean it less dense. 
4. Dish Soap: I think it's in the middle of the beaker because it has a low viscosity and so it's mean it has a lower density. So I think it will have less weight. 
5. Rubbing Alcohol (Mix) : I think Rubbing Alcohol will in between Float and Sink because it has a low viscosity and it has less dense so it is also mean that it has less weight. 
6. Corn Syrup: I think Corn Syrup will sink because it has a high viscosity and it's mean it has a more density. I think it is also very heavy. 
7. Milk (Mix): I think Milk will mix together with water because Milk and water have the same low viscosity and it has the same density.
8. Water: I think Water will mix with milk at the same time. Because it have low viscosity and it has the same density. 
9. Rubbing Alcohol (Mix): I think Rubbing Alcohol will mix with water because it has low viscosity and it has a less dense. It's like water. 
10. Popcorn Kernal: I think Popcorn Kernal will sink because it is a bit heavy to me. (It can float) I think it is small but it has a heavy weight too. 
11. Honey: I think Honey is Sink because it has high viscosity and that means it has low density. It is heavy too! 
12. Maple Syrup: I think Maple Syrup is the same as Honey. I think Maple Syrup will sink because it has a high viscosity and it has less dense. 
13. Cherry Tomatoes: I think Cherry Tomatoes will sink because it is a little heavy and maybe it can float too!  
14. Bolt: I think Bolt will totally sink because it makeup of metals and I think it has a heavy weight.

Sports with Mix Genders

    
Girls play Softball and boys play Baseball, the only reason they are separated is because of the gender. Isn’t it unfair?   Genders shouldn’t be separated in sports.  “Difference in gender is not a reason for this type of discrimination!” This was said by Inna Hoxa. Girls and boys should play on the same teams because it helps girls excel in the game and it is our right.

    
        You might think that girls are not strong enough to play with boys. And you might think that girls could not play Rugby, Soccer, Baseball, and many other sports like boys. On the other hand, girls develop faster than boys. We are tougher than you think.

If girls play sports on the same team as boys it will make them more competitive. One example is Mo’ne Davis who is a girl that played baseball in the United States. Mo’ne Davis was the 18th girl who played baseball and she was the one of two girls who played in a Little League World Series. On April 15, 2014, Mo’ne Davis was a first girl that pitched a shout out for her team. As you see, Mo’ne Davis was a girl and she could also play Baseball which was a rough sport. When girls play with boys they can become better athletes so that is why genders should not matter when playing sports.

     It is only fair that girls get the same opportunity as boys when it comes to sports. “Human rights are women’s rights and women’s rights are human rights” according to Hillary Rodham Clinton, she is the United States Secretary of States. What she had just said it is also mean for sports too! Have you ever knew that girls and boys are both born with the same sporty genes? Women athletes get paid close to nothing compared to men. Now girls start to learn to be more competitive and boys start to learn to be more cooperative. There just only one-fifth of girls that get to have a physical education. If we compare it together, there are just only a quarter of girl compared to one-half of boys.

    Overall, sports should be participated by mixed genders. It will develop girls competitiveness and it will also develop boys cooperativeness. Mixed genders sports will form a big friendship. Therefore, it is really enjoyable to watch sports with mix genders playing

Float or Sink!?!?!?!

SINK OR FLOAT!?!?!??!!
  • Ping Pong Ball = Float because Ping Pong ball is very light, it has a light weight. 
  • Soda Lid = Float because Soda Lid has light weight and it's lighter than the amount of water. (I think) 
  • Rubbing Alcohol = Float because it's lighter than water. (maybe) 
  • Plastic bead = Float because Plastic bead has a very light weight. 
  • Vegetable oil = Float because it's not that heavy ( I think) it's very light too! 
  • Cherry Tomatoes = Maybe Float because it's light (maybe) 
  • Popcorn Kernel = Float and Sink because I have tried some experiment like this and my teacher said that if inside it has no air so it will sink. But if it has air inside it, the popcorn Kernel will float. 
  • Milk = Mix because milk and water are the same but just because of the color. 
  • Bolt = Sink because normally bolts are the makeup of metal and metal are very heavy. 
  • Honey = Sink because it sticky and it causes the weight of honey. It is heavy too. I think it has more dense. 
  • Corn Syrup = Sink because it is like honey that it sticky and it causes weight. I think it also because Corn Syrup is heavier than water too. 
  • Maple Syrup = Sink because it is like honey and Corn Syrup that it is sticky and it causes weight. (Same reasons like Honey and Corn Syrup.)

Ordinary World - Hero's Journey

     Sam wants to get Jimmy back to live again with Jimmy mom's photo back. Sam is a boy who has 3 abilities which he needed to use his abilities now to help himself and his friends. He must go through all the problems that happen to him!

    “Sam! Help me find my mom photo! PLEASE!” Jimmy exclaimed loudly. Jimmy is my best friend he has brown eyes, brown hairs and he’s good at sports like me. But he different from me that he didn’t have any abilities, I have abilities that are I could run fast and one thing that helps protect me is my sharp hair.


    “I play somewhere here and some strong wind blew it away!” Jimmy said worriedly. Jimmy and I saw some big strange wood cards stick against the tall tree, but they both have words on it. The pink wood card had words that said, “Go right if you are not scared.” and the blue wood card had words that said, “Go left if you don’t want to go right.” “Why would they put this two strange cards here if they write in a nonsense hints?” I thought to myself. Jimmy put his right hand on his head and another hand on his left side. This is the first time I saw him looked anxious that he made all these poses, and he made a strange baby face. I knew why he was depressed about it. It was about his mom’s photo because his mom died when he was 3 years old, so that’s why he really want his mom photo back.

Values Quarter 3 Reflection

Quarter 3 Reflection:
  
  In this Quarter, I learned many new things. My favorite topic for this quarter is when we learned about conflict and specific strategies to solve that conflict between family, friends, and teachers. We have 5 animals that represent each of the conflicts like how they act with that conflict there were Teddy Bear, Shark, Fox, Owl, and Turtle. But my favorite topic from last quarter is Health Triangle when we need to make a slideshow that presents about Physical Health, Mental Health, and Social Health.


   Information that I find most interesting from last quarter was about Health when they separate it into three different types! There were Physical Health, Mental Health, and Social Health. It is interesting information to me because I never know that Health were broken into three different types. This is why I find that this information was interesting for me. I also just know that this three types of health were different from each other too!


    I really want to know more about conflict resolution because for me and my friends we have a lot of conflicts but not always, just only sometimes. Do they have more specific ways to help to solve the conflict? Do they always have these ways to solve them or they have other ways to help to solve this problem? Do they have just only 5 main conflict styles? Or they have more? Could they have just only one conflict and lead to many solutions or problems?


   I think the areas I can improve on in this final quarter of the year is that I could participate more and think of the work creatively. Also helping others people more too! For participate more I could do that by listening actively and be more active about listening and working in class. And when people ask me I can help them and share ideas with them so this is some ways I could helping others, people more.

Band Video #2






This is my second video, this song name "Shepherd Hay." It's my new song for Band but for me, I felt like when I play this song it made me felt very happy and entertain with it. In my group, there were Jeremy, Kayla, Top, and Theo. Jeremy plays Saxophone, Kayla plays Flute, Top and Theo play Trombone. We all have solo parts for this song, for I have a solo part mostly at the beginning. I never know that I could play this song because this song was very hard and fast! I will try my best! I also want to pass the blue level too, this is my third goal!

Science Reflection

     Today we did one test about Food Chains and Food Webs that include Producers, Decomposers, and Consumers in it. One part we needed to draw 6 organisms that were Snake, Lizard, Hawk/bird, Mushrooms, Grasshopper, and Grass. I drew it very bad. :( But then I felt good to have some test like this because it show to the teacher that does we really listening to the teacher or not. I felt fun when we got to do the test, I don't know why but I felt excited when I did this test and many others tests. First in the vocabulary part I got confused about the word species and population but finally, I thought I worked it out. Yesterday I thought the test will be very hard but truly it is easier than what I had thought yesterday. :)))))))))))
