Summarize the process of selecting a topic for your Shark Tank 7 project.
So at first, my idea was an accessories holder which we will create by ourselves. But then when my partner which was Christopher, his idea was about reusing lightbulbs. Truly in the beginning I was thinking really hard of how will we combine the lightbulbs and accessories holder together. So first I thought to created just only lightbulbs, but then when we finished with our lightbulbs and stuffs. Christopher had an ideas of using a plastic bottles as an accessories holder and using a pencil or a colour pencil, they put it in a bottle from side to side. So this is the process of selecting a topic for my shark tank 7 project.
Describe the process of researching and your overall success or struggle with researching your topic for shark tank 7.
So the process of researching were that at first we didn't know how to take the bottom part of a lightbulb out, so we started researching at that part first. When we know then we had researched about other things which was about decorating our lightbulb. After we had research, we had an idea about it. After when we started to have time doing a slideshow or a presentation, we researched about the number of lightbulbs that had been wasted all around the world so our presentation would be more specific. Sometimes we also had a struggle with researching about our topic too because like at first when we searching about how to get the bottom part out, we couldn't find the safe way or a way that could be done at school. But when we tried to research more specific about it, we be able to find the way to break it.
Describe the steps taken and overall challenges in completing or creating your shark tank prototype.
Our first step was that:
1. Find all materials for breaking the bottom part of a lightbulb.
2. Break the bottom part of the lightbulb.
3. Crack the inside part of the lightbulb.
4. Pull everything inside of a lightbulb out and clean the lightbulb nicely.
5. Use paint to decorate a lightbulb from the inside.
6. Find a plastic bottle from a bin (reuse) and cut the top part of a bottle.
7. Decorate a plastic bottles from the outside.
8. Stuck a pencil or colour pencil through a plastic bottle.
9. Put a lightbulb on top of a plastic bottles.
Some challenges in completing or creating our shark tank prototype was when we need to break the bottom part of the lightbulb. If we didn't wear a safety goggles, some pieces of glasses would go into our eyes. It was really dangerous, so this was some of our challenges in completing our prototype.
Reflect on your overall presentation experience or struggles with completing the pitch for your shark tank 7.
I can't really reflect anything because on the day we present I didn't go to school. But as what Christopher told me, it was really nervous for him but he still overcome his feeling and we got pass. I felt really sorry to Christopher but then I tried my best helping him through slides, research, and prototypes. He really good at presenting though. :))
How would you present differently for speak out/the formal shark tank presentation?
As I say that I didn't present on that day. But if I was there, I would present differently by speak calmly, not really fast and not really slow and I will try to show more picture through the present day.
